Rue is a herb that must be treated carefully but maybe used to treat arthritis, sprains, bones and many other ailments externally.

Rue is also known as the herb of grace or witch bane. It corresponds with the element fire and the planet mars and goddess Diana.

It is also used as a cleansing herb and can be used in spells for banishing and protecting from negative influences. It can be hung over doorways to keep out evil spirits.

Rue water, made between the full moons, is also used to cleanse negativity.
